data.lost

data.lost marks a segment of data as being permanently unavailable. Lost data is not reported in gaps by data.status.

Command Line Usage

data.lost [--comment=-|Text] [station] [start end]

Arguments

start and end

The time specifiers for the data to be marked lost. Start is inclusive while end is exclusive, so all data contained within the half open interval [start, end) will be marked. Any convertible time format is accepted. When omitted all gaps for a station will be prompted for one at a time.

station

The station identifier code. For example 'brw'. Case insensitive.

--comment=-|Text

Set the comment to the given text or read it from standard input for “-”. No effect when prompting for all gaps.

Example Usage

data.lost sfb 2008:10 2008:12
data.lost sfb

Use data.comments.get to view the lost data reports

data.comments.get sfb none none raw |grep -C 1 lost
