The Federated Aerosol Network, January 2014
Below is a current (as of January, 2014) map of the Federated Aerosol Network (FANtastic!).
Some network changes since January 2012 (date of last newsletter):
- AMF was moved from PGH (India) to PVC (Cape Cod, MA) for ~1 year (July, 2012-June, 2013), and from there to MAN (Brazil) in December 2013.
- RSL (Resolute Bay, Canada) came online in mid-May, 2013.
- SUM (Summit Camp, Greenland) is a considered a combined NOAA baseline/collaborative station - we continue to work with Georgia Tech on data analysis and editing.
- TIK (Tiksi, Russia) does not have a standard aerosol system, however the site has been collecting aethalometer data since 2007, and, as of summer 2013, all Tiksi aethalometer data has been ingested into the NOAA DB system. The aethalometer data are currently being logged by cpd2.
